Did you check the connection from the headlight assembly to the wiring harness?

The ground contact in the multifunction switch (turn signals, wipers, cruise control, high beams) has failed. The headlight switch references ground through the high beams in the multifunction switch. It's a little time consuming to replace, so pay a little extra and go with a better quality ACDelco part.
