Do you have to set the alarm on a 2005 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with door open

no, just click your remote twice and on the second click you should hear a little beep to let you know it is armed- if it doesn't beep, one of the doors may not be shut tight, or the personalized settings may have the beep feature shut off- if that is the case, e-mail me at ricks@millsauto.com and I can e-mail you the procedure to turn it on.

Thank you for your answer, It is my sisters car she insists that when she bought the car they told her the only way she could set the alarm was with the door open. I wonder if the alarm is even setting. I know that on my Suzuki if there is anything open the alarm won't set. It will lock the doors but the alarm won't set.
