what can cause my 2005 buick to register to high of speed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is a output on the transmission that send a electronic signal to the ECM (engine control), that send a signal to the BCM (body control) then it finally gets to the instrument panel. As you can see there are several things in the system that could be the problem but start with the fitting on the top of the transmission (this is usually on the top of the transmission under the master cylinder) unplug and replug that and see if anything happens...if you still have a problem try getting a used one
