My 2006 Buick Lacrosse turns over but won't start.

Asked by Guru95V37 Jun 08, 2017 at 06:49 PM about the 2006 Buick LaCrosse

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Checked coils...seemed fine. Took ignition module out and cleaned and
greased it . Put it back and it started for 2 days.  Runs smooth..doesn't miss.
Bought a new one...put it in. Same thing....it starts but when you shut it off it
won't start. Please help!

When it does not start, check for spark, make sure there is a spark at the spark plug wires. If there is a spark, then it may be a fuel issue. Then try spaying some starting fluid into to the throttle body to see if it fires up. If it does then that is an indication of a bad fuel pump. Fuel pressure would need to be checked to verify.
