5 wheel drive

I am looking at a 95 f150 4 wheel drive want
to buy it but when i put it into 4wheel high or
low when i ture the wheel sharp it jumps and
jurks like crazy is this normal

It is normal on pavement. But otherwise it would be the U-Joints in the front axles that are needing to be replace. If this is the case, it is not that bad of job to do.
