It won't shift at all. Moves freely

Asked by Armstrong1950 Sep 17, 2020 at 06:13 PM about the 1995 Ford F-150

Question type: General

I changed steeringwheel column and
hooked everything back up. Truck was
in park taking out and putting back in.
Shifter moves freely as if not hooked
up. It doesn't make sense. What's
wrong? It's a automatic

Go under and see if linkage is actually moving on the transmission itself. If it is, you have issues with transmission. If it doesn't, check linkage from transmission back to steering column.
