1995 Ford f150 extended cab problem

So i recently bought the truck and as i was
driving, at a stoplight the idle started acting
weird then as i tried to accelerate it was
very slugish and there was some knocking
sounds. This happened a few times before i
could get it home. And it died at a light. Im
not that good with trucks and this is my first
one. Can anyone please help?
