at the begining of sept 2019 my wife purchase a 2004 z4 with 39000 miles from a private owner. She took a short drive and decided to buy it. within 30 minites of driving her new purchase the steering began to act up, pulling to the right and becoming sticky to the point you had to pull it back. The car requires constant adjustment during driving, very scary. After googling we learned 2003 to 2006 z4 have a major steering problem. Can you imagine buying a car with a steering problem ??? Not disclosing this kind of imformation is fraudulent, its not the radio doesnt work or a power window doesnt function, this is the steering you cant drive a car if the steering is defective. I would hope the owner of cargurus can make a suggestion, what can we do ?

You should have contacted the seller the next day. If that had derived no help, had you acted quickly, you could have sued on the basis that this is a known problem and the seller either did know and defrauded you, or he should have known..... How to protect yourself against these things? Have any car you plan to purchase reviewed by a mechanic prior to purchase. Could be the best $100 you ever spent.

Yes, the sticky steering is an issue on that model car. What can you do now that you own it? I'd start with replacing the electric power steering unit with a new one. That will fix your steering problem. The window issue is probably a faulty window regulator, common issue with BMW's. As far as the radio not working, maybe the antenna cable is disconnected? Do you work on cars. You can pick up the parts from FCPeuro for a decent price and warranty.
