Why does my '63 tbird replacement neutral safety switch have 2 males and 2 female ends?

I ordered a replacement neutral safety
switch for my '63 tbird  and it came with
2 female ends and 2 male ends. The
stock one only has one male and three
female connectors. Did I buy the wrong
one or can I splice them together to
make it work?

I've seen multipurpose switches used in the past...what is paramount is that electrically it obeys orders...if the extra lug ain't connecting to the circuitry, I would not worry about it...it's not like everyone is going to be looking there!~

if you can find "the right one" exchange this....sad part is there are NO returns on electrical components...car parts store wide~
