What size battery amps etc do I need for a 1963 thunderbird

I have a 6 litre 1963 thunderbird but live in England so I need to know the
batterie amps/ CA/CCA  etc ( i can check the physical size myself )  Help
please I've already bought two batteries that at 550 amps appear to be not
strong enough if you know a make I can see if that is available here

You need a group size 27F. I like Motorcraft batteries as they have a 36 month free replacement. Get one at your local Ford dealership. It should run under $150.00 plus tax exchanged.

Something around 700 CCA should work just fine. A 550 CCA battery should start it up just fine. Are you sure that the starting system and the engine is in good shape?

The biggest battery that will fit. Those old motors can take a lot of juice to start. Bob is right. 700 amps is the minimum I would want. If you can get 750 or 800 amps it would be better.
