Is serial number 2Y89Z161769 a legitimate Roadster serial number for the 62 Thunderbird?

How can we verify that the serial number above is legitimate and did they all come standard with air conditioning?

To this point, it looks like you have an authentic Roadster! The "2Y89" is a great sign. This usually indicates an authentic '62 T-Bird roadster.
