does any 1955 ford thunderbird have the wheel mounted on back? Mecum shows one 1955 with wheel.

mecum auction advertising 1955 red thunderbird with wheel on back,  I have
not seen a 55 with this?   Is this mislabeled ?

custom rear deck..much like rear wheel removable covers...seems to be~ perhaps this was an option for rich guys~ would have to dig further...if this job would pay~ like being an oil painter~

YES! This is called a "Continental Kit" and were options on many cars in the 50's. I've seen them on Fords, Mercs, Lincolns, Olds, and so many others. Makes the car about 18-20 inches longer.
