1989 Ford E250 club wagon xl

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have two tanks, both have new fuel pumps, installed today. When I run on the
rear tank everything goes well. When I switch to the front the engine stalls out.
I unplugged the fuel relay and it would not start, plugged it back in and rear
tank will run, but front will not. I emptied out all the gas out of the front and
replaced it with new gas. Is there a relay for each tank? Where should I be
looking next?

Looks like one relay... maybe a faulty switch?? Ud have to pull it out and use a volt meter

Thanks NijaChicken! Please forgive my ignorance.....faulty switch?

Yes the switch you push where change tanks.... it might not be making connection to power the other tank... youd have to tank the switch out and test it with a multimeter

Thanks NinjaChicken!
