i have a 1983 ford f-150 xlt aotomatic and i was wondering what size motor and transmission came in it b/c i'm looking for a rear end for it.

Dealership or parts store can tell you this by decoding your VIN.

your VIN number .. 8th character is the engine type .. f = 5.0L 302 .. W = 5.8L 351 .. E or 9 is a 300 4.9L a sticker inside the door will tell you your tranny code .. K = C6 .. W = C5 .. T = AOD .. G = auto w/Cruise-O-Matic C6 also by your shifter .. if it has a D and an Overdrive then you know its an AOD .. the C5 and 6 only have P R N D 2 1 .. thats it
