85 Toyota mr2

We just  recently  bought a 85 Toyota mr2.
The guy we bought it from said the starter
in the car was bad so we had to push start
it to get it home . Once home we took the
starter out and tested it to find out it works
fine . So we redid the wires to the starter
and everything and put it back it . Now the
car sounds like it's about to start when we
turn the key but then it just stops after a
seconed of the key being in their . We
changed the fuel filter and checked and
fixed the  igniter's wires but still nothing so
it will start but not run . We sprayed some  
flammable brake cleaner in the air intake
And then it ran for the while that we
sprayed the stuff in their so I'm guessing
their is a fuel problem but i don't know  
how to fix it .

you go under the car, loosen up some wiring and tubes, then drop the fuel tank, remove the fuel pump and replace it. but you have to make sure its the right fuel pump they sell knock offs that are way smaller than the original ones. you can only remove the fuel pump if you take out the whole fuel tank. its a big procedure def need some car jacks and correct tools.
