Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have a blue 1987 Corolla with 54,321 miles on it, owned by an old lady garage kept, small dent on drivers door and the paint has some scraps. Can anyone tell me what it's worth? Thanks

kbb.com only goes back to 89 and shows ~1,000 for an 89... So I'd guess $850 But that's a stab in the dark...

I would think it's more cause it's 22 years old with 54321 miles.

It's old, but that doesn't exactly make it a collector car. And I'm guessing it's got only a 5 digit odometer, so does it actually have a 154k or 254k?

No it has a 6 digit odometer but my neighbor that passed away only drove it maybe 10 blocks here and there and garage kept it. It's been in the garage for 3 years never driven.

Are you trying to sell it? Is it automatic or 5 speed? What color is it. This was my first car and I'm looking for one in good condition.

It depends on when in 1987 it was built and what trim it is. If its an older model, AE86 chassis (rear wheel drive) GTS trim you can get a decent amount for it. These are pretty hot cars for drifting and racing (mountains/track). I've seen them go for 4-6k depending on the condition. If you have this model with on 54k on the odometer then you can probably get up to 8k. Even an SR5 rear wheel drive models can get a decent amount. If its a front wheel drive then you won't get too much. Just to give you an idea... I bought my 1989 Corolla GTS with over 200,000 miles on it for $1700. Hope this helps.
