from a stop, a car without power steering can be hard to handle, but once you get it rolling a little, they get easier.yes, there are upgrade kits available. check online. while keeping it stock has value, if you don't enjoy driving it, what's the point?

Use a steering knob on it. What they use to call a suicide knob. I have one on my truck and it is handy and my truck is a 2001 Nissan Frontier.
