Can I switch a door from a 96 corolla to a 00 corolla

Asked by Jessica Oct 06, 2015 at 02:28 AM about the 1996 Toyota Corolla

Question type: General

If a purchased a 2000 corolla can I
use the parts to repair a 96 corolla

1 Answer

Probably but no promise on that. The are both 8th generation, 1995 -2000 but all Corollas were built in Japan until 1997, for the 1998 model year. The NUMMI plant in Calif was opened before then but did not produce Corollas until 1997. A 1996 and a 2000 have different engines. I will say yes, most likely the door will swap. But no guarantee. And I am curious, what happened to the '00 that you will cannibalize it? Wrecked? 250,000 miles?

Your Answer:
