That could mean one of your rear lights has burned out, although I've seen forum posts from '96 Camry owners who had problems with the built-in light failure sensor. If you can get a friend to stand behind your car while you test your rear headlights, directional signals, and brake lights, you should be able to figure out whether you need a new bulb or a new light failure sensor.
