wiper fluid pump

I am not sure what fuse you are talking about that 'protects' the wiper fluid pump. The fuse in the wiper fluid pump would be used for hydraulic fluid pressure and could be used as a relief valve. So when you want to wash your windshield the pressure is there in order to shoot out the water onto your windshield. I think that it would be referred to as the fuse in the wiper/washer pump. If this isn't what your asking please rephrase the question.

The wiper motor and washer pump are on the same 'protecting' fuse, so the fuse is not the problem. I found that the washer pump electrical connector had some corrosion on the terminals so problem solved. THANK YOU.
