fuses

Asked by jrking232 Dec 21, 2007 at 09:01 AM about the 1998 Toyota Corolla

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My lighter, radio and clock all shorted out, but I can't find the fuse that controls all of them.  I looked through all the easily removeable fuses and none were blown.  Could anyone point me in the right direction?

I believe your problem lies in the fusible link behind the lighter assembly. This is an in-line fuse that has to be cut out and replaced. Pull out the lighter assembly and the fusible link should be in the wire behind it.
