how do you remove the front frame assembly on a 98 camry? Its all spot welded and tacked. I wa recently in a wreck and it was claimed as totaled, but none of the internal components were damaged. Just the frame under the skin. Im an airframe mechanic, and all I can think of doing is drilling out the spot welds and replacing it with a used one from a trashed car. I'm not sure if there is an easier way. I feel like i might put too much damage on the car.

98 camry.. front body frame under skin. Not sure what the name for it is. No damage to
main Frame. Radiator and AC are not damaged. Some areas have already been drilled.
The radiator crack was an accident today during repair. JB weld in progress. Any help
would be great!!!

The reason they totaled the car is because it is only worth about $1500. It will cost probably close to $3000 to fix. The easier solution would be to find the same year Camry with a bad engine. Just swap your engine. Not to mention, it will now have a salvage title which diminishes the value even more if you still fix it. Even if you tack weld all new pieces in, will the front of the car be straight? It may be tweaked a few degrees from center. You may have to pay to put it on a frame straightener.
