having problems with a 1979 honda prelude.Starts fine but mid-range it sputters and runs rough.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced carb,distributor,complete tune up with plug wires ect. Checked coil,timing belt,and have three mechanics look at it. Starts fine,idles good,revs solid, but when you take off it sputters and chokes out it feels like. With a new carb,distributor and coil,can't guess what it would be.Mechanics that looked at it can't figure it out. Any ideas?
