Here's something I never thought of: I was walking by my car today and was able to see over the front passenger side tire all the way through to the snow on the other side of the car. Is something missing? I checked other cars and in no other case could I see all the way through. I'm suspecting something that prevents grit from getting from tires to engine has broken or fallen off. This is a Honda CRV.

You might be missing the wheel well liner.

Shouldn't be anything too serious probably is a cover and I would get it replaced before something that isn't supposed to be in there gets to wreaking havoc.

This is a long one. I went in to get my breaks fixed about a month ago. They shaved down the rotors on my two back tires. Well, they checked my other brakes, but forgot to tighten the lug nuts on my front left tire, and it ended up falling off while I was driving. They fixed resulting issues, free of charge. Then yesterday, it sounded like the back brakes were going again, so I took it back to them. They said the BACK brakes, which were supposed to have been fixed originally, a month ago, were metal on metal (they re-graded/shaved down the rotors). They went ahead and replaced the back rotors and pads, but I'm curious... Could the front tire falling off have caused the back brakes to wear out? Or did they just not do a good job originally? Or could something else be causing the brakes to wear so quickly? 11 Answers

1999 Honda CR-V will not start. I changed the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator along with the fuel filter and the main relay but the vehicle still will not start. The distributor along with the coil was replaced about two months ago, spark is ok. Sometimes the vehicle start for a few second but the engine stalls as if the timming is off but the timing is ok, also sometimes it back fires and when it does the vacuum hose that is connected to the fuel pressure regulator comes off from the regulator. I check the injectors and they are getting power. I disconnected the exhaust thinking of the catalytic but still no start. Could it be the computer?
