honda crv clucth

Asked by Lino39 Nov 10, 2009 at 04:02 AM about the 2006 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a honda crv 2006 which I bought brand new 3 years ago. It has a manual transmission. The clutch is very hard to push and I experienced on several occasion a swollen left foot especially on long city driving. Is there a way to soften the pushing of this clucth? Because of this problem, I don't enjoy that much driving this car.

By the way compared to my old mazda pick-up, my mazda pick-up clucth is more easier to push than my CRV.

if you know for sure the pedal feel is harder than other honda cr-v try looking into the clutch cylinder and the slave cylinder. there might be faulty components or the fluid is low. The previous owner may have an aftermarket clutch / pressure plate. If that is okay there is nothing much left than to but operate on the car if you want a lighter feel.
