time when I accelerate!  Took back to shop and

Daniel, our fan clutches suck. 3 times now I've had bad fan clutches out of the box, 2 different Trailblazers. Listen for ticking too, very common, while the ticking won't harm anything, it's annoying! If it ticks, get another one. This is a cake job to do yourself, either buy the best, Hayden, or get one with a lifetime warranty. On a side note, it is very normal for it to be engaged (loud) at start up, will go away after it warms up a bit. However, it is NOT normal for the fan clutch to be engaged all the time. That mechanic is full of it.

Yeah the engine light has come on twice since the new one was put on. Taken back both times and he says its fine now. If the light comes back on he'll just get another fan! Its under my warranty!! To me it sounds like a big ass delivery truck when I accelerate!! That's why I took it in in the first place. It wasn't that loud ALL the time!!! Guy at auto zone says it's sucking in A lot of air!!! I can't stand my car being loud!!

Mine too. Just changed water pump and fan clutch. Bearings were SHOT in both. Bad vibrations between 1000 and 2000 rpm. The r&r fixed vibrations but now sounds like a 747. Throwing a code for fan over speed. I did the work myself. My "big job" mechanic says it's a bad part. Bought it at Autozone same as you. Did you ever get your issue resolved. I know you posted months ago. I hate rework due to bad parts new from the manufacturer.

Also need some help here. 2009 trailblazer first the oil cooler rusted through and was leaking, then the trans cooler line had a leak, I cut and flared that and used rubber tubing and clamps. Now my radiator fan runs fast when the truck is started, leaked alot of water, now there's a whining noise. Any ideas guys?

Hi all- changed the fan clutch about 2 days ago and I too hear it loud all the time when I accelerate after a stop sign or red light! I bought the fan clutch from advance auto. Should I take it to a mechanic? is this normal? I been stranded too many times-please someone guide me....
