Running hot

Asked by Tami Oct 14, 2018 at 07:20 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so I changed my water pump and thermast about 3 weeks ago because my water
pump went out. About 4 days ago my truck started running hot again. So changed all
that again, changed hoses, heater hoses, flushed truck many many times with hose and
a flush. At first it's temp was normal so my husband wanted to do another flush just to be
safe and it started boiling in the overflow and my top radiator hose the side where the
pump is, is hot but the other isn't. Help

Thermostat is not opening may have put in backwards trust me it is very easy to do remove and recheck how thermostat is installed.

It did it even without the thermostat. It is properly installed. Its acting as not getting flow to the radiator. The top hose that connects to the water pump to the top of the radiator is only getting hot on one side the other is cool.

So several people have said maybe I got a bad water pump again. Since both came from the same store, same brand maybe they just got a bad batch. Uggg, any thoughts?
