Tire difference

Asked by Jun 23, 2017 at 10:55 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Aveo

Question type: General

Can I put 155/80 R13 on a car that has 185/60 R14
already on it? What problems could I run into?

the last number is the WHEEL SIZE. You can't but a 13" tire on a 14"

The 13s are already on rims. I just need to know it I can use them. Or someplace that sells 14s cheap so as not to break the bank.

You would have to physically mount the rims to make sure they clear the brake calipers. I'd say probably not as far as fitment. I'd find a local tire shop that sells used tires to pick up some 14", my guess if you can find ones for $25 a tire.
