Dor won't close

Asked by Cheddartrix Jan 12, 2017 at 11:40 AM about the 2006 Ford Five Hundred

Question type: General

My drivers side car door won't close.  The latch is
open, nothing is obstructing the door, but all it
does is bounce back.  I got it to shut once, so I
tried again and then nothing.  It is only about 20
degrees out, but the car has sat for about 2 days
during sub zero temp and then freeing rain.

Any ideas how to get the latch to loosen up or
close?

Yes get some WD40 and spray the hell out of the lock and turn the key while doing so and also flip the inside door handle up and down, sounds like it's frozen...
