Suburu Legacy SHUTS DOWN when I PRESS THE CLUTCH

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok here are the details:


First- when you turn the key.... 3 things pop up

- 'check engine' light
- the oil light thingy
- the battery light

Second- The car starts and for some reason... can't 'HOLD" itself and shuts down. Also... there is a screeching noise...

Third- I can take the car out on the road, but when I shift... the car begins to 'SHUT DOWN' again... unless I give it some gas. Once I reach a stop and have to take it out of gear... RPM goes back to ZERO. Then I would have to start the ignition... again, give it gas, put it in 1st gear and drive off.

Just finish putting in some COOLANT, it was super LOW... So, now i've over filled and i don't know how to get it out... My goodness... (the problems I have)

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE!

I don't have any knowledge on cars besides the LAY MEN basics. I'm willing to learn and do it myself. Please help!

Idk about the shutting down but for the coolant just stick a tube into it and have the other end in some sort of container that is lower than the coolant tank and then just start the flow of coolant into your container by sucking on the end of the tube and then sticking it in the container(i know it sounds disgusting, be careful to not actually get any coolant in your mouth lol)
