Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Brand new alternator belt
Slipping. Lot of play in it.
What is easiest way to fix
besides a tension adjtster.

1 Answer

The belt tensioner sounds worn not allowing enough tension for the belt to work correctly. Maybe the tensioner was your issue all along. The fastest and easiest is to replace the tensioner, itself. There are no other work arounds.
