Why does my car sometimes act like its about to clunk out, then rev itself and begin to drive itself untill i can bring it to a stop and put it in park?

no offense its because its made by GM. idk check your starter because it might be hitting a bad spot while its spinning and all idk

If your check engine light is not coming on, I would check the idle air control valve. Trottle position sensor also an option, would trigger a light.
