Can I replace the computer myself?

Check engine light will not turn off and temp runs
up, mechanic has traced back to computer, how
difficult is this to repair?

It's not that difficult, but most new computers need to be flashed (programmed) to the car, some places that sell new engine computers online can take your info and flash it for you.
