Cooling system

I had my water pump replaced and the temperature gage would go up then
go down so I had a new temperature thing put in now it's loseing water out of
the radiator what could be the problem, a backyard Mackinac worked on my
car

Clearly you need to find the leak. I also suspect that there is an air lock in the system but fix the leak first.
