Car turns on but won’t move

The car was working fine at first, then I
parked it. When I came back, it started up
and revved but wouldn’t reverse or drive
forward. I just bought the car used.

The same thing happened to mines. Its the shift gear cable. Its an easy fix. My uncle fixed it within minutes.

Same thing happened to me in my 2002 Sunfire. One of the rear brakes had locked.
