04 Grand Prix drives in manual mode but not drive

Was at a stop light and my car would not accurate.
When I put it in manual mode it accelerated, what’s
the deal?

Sounds like an electronic problem of some sort. Any transmission shop should be able to trouble shoot and repair it. Likely a sensor or wiring issue somewhere.
