My car is running hot and making loud
noises when I turn it off.

First lets deal with the car running hot, I would change out the thermostat and flush the entire system with a good flushing agent. Purchase a new cap and clean the exterior of the. radiator with a goid cleaner and flush with a high power hose. Make sure the fans are coing on at the corret temperature.
