Headlights

Asked by GuruC7FVZ Mar 12, 2019 at 07:13 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: General

My son replaced both headlights in
my 2004 Grand Am as the cover over
my lights was really hazy. Now the
lights are shining all over. They shine
straight down with numerous black
areas. They even mess with my eyes
they're so bad. Do they only need
adjusting or could he have installed
the left light on the right side and the
right one on the left?

Sounds like he did not retain the alignment when he swapped them out. If you know where the adjusting hardware is around each light, you can align them yourself bu parking the car about 20 feet from a wall and see where the lights hit the wall. Detail is out there on the internet to guide you through the procedure.
