My VIN not correct?

GM is telling me on website my VIN is
not recognized or is older than 2000
vehicle?? Tried nhtsa.gov & it says GM
has problem with my VIN? My
insurance registered vehicle by VIN, I
am stumped?????

Start by looking closely at the vin plate on the car. Then match it to what you are inputting. I've had the DMV in my state miss code the number and I didn't catch it until years afterwards. Not hard to type wrong.
