Accelerator connecting rod & TPS

Hi so my accelerator connecting rod completely
broke the other day while I was driving. Floppy
pedal and all, no acceleration whatsoever. My
question is could this throw a TPS code? My theory
is that it was on the brink of breaking for a while
because my acceleration at times was kind of off. I  
replaced the rod and everything is fine again.
