How do I open the hood to charge/replace the battery when it is completely dead?

The hood patch lever is under the dash, is it not opening when you pull it? It's cable operated, if it doesn't open release the hood there may be a problem with the cable.

Use a key to unlock the door so that you can get to the lever mentioned above.

In my case, the battery is dead and the key fob because there is a lock issue from what I understand, will not open the door so I need to manually open the hood. Is that possible?
