290hp ... ..I do think that will get you away from a red light before the Prius next to you does..........http://autos.aol.com/cars-Lexus-LS+430-2002/specs/ ....maintenance? Depends entirely on it's history, if it has been neglected you may need a few things. I don't know if it has a timing belt or chain

Okay, Belt. Really good picture, click on it ..my point being it is an interference engine and hydraulic tensioner, not to be neglected

Belt alone, $50 but they sell a "Belt kit" that includes water pump and gasket set, I guess they assume if you are going to go to all the trouble of the belt, might as well do water pump, has to come off anyway, $255
