Lexus driver side door isn’t automatically unlocking

Asked by Bre Nov 18, 2017 at 12:46 PM about the 2010 Lexus ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driver door isn’t automatically unlocking with the
rest of the doors when the fob or door button are
pressed. Every once in awhile it will work (once a
week), but I’m usually having to reach around from
the rear door and manually unlock or take the cover
off my handle and use the manual key. I hear a
motor noise as it tries to lock again once ive started
driving the car and I can see the lock twitching
slightly forward, trying to move. Sometimes it’s
difficult for me to manually lock as it feels “stuck”.
Is it my actuator? Rod?

I'm very familiar with Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This is almost certainly a rod issue. It's not uncommon.

Doors do not lock/open....SOLUTION: In my ES350 I did open 4 windows, pressed driver's side window button down for 4 minutes and it did reset :) After about 1 minute or less I heard a click under a dashboard, probably resetting, but kept the button down for 4 minutes . UFFFF!!!
