Gear

Asked by Kiahreyah Apr 06, 2017 at 03:13 PM about the 2004 Lexus ES

Question type: General

I just recently bought a Lexus & is a bit confused
on what the (4) & the (D) means , there not
together . Which gear is it supposed to stay in or
does it really matter ? & what kind of gas goes in a
Lexus , I've been using regular but people have
been telling me its supposed to be premium(the
highest) is that also true ?

D= Drive which is where you want to have the selector most of the time. Lower gears can be used in mountain driving when going up and down steep grades. I am pretty sure you need premium to get the best out of your car.

I looked up the type of gas the 2004 Lexus ES 330 & I pulled up a window sticker that states it takes Regular gas. I haven't had any issues.
