1999 Lexus es 300

Asked by Joe Jul 03, 2016 at 07:33 AM about the 1999 Lexus ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Lexus Es 300. It has Ben a great car.
About a week ago it's starting to develop a stutter
in the drive train wen I start to take off. I replaced
the plugs in the car cause to me it felt like there
was a plug fouled out. So I put new ones in but it's
still doing the same. The RPMs are running high
also. At 70 mph my gauge hits 4000 RPMs. I swear
it feels like a miss in the motor wen at a slow
speed or sitten still. At a fast speed it kinda clears
out or ya just can't feel it o don't know. Does
anybody have an idea wat could be my issue.
Thank you

Higher than normal RPM at speed may indicate a problem with the transmission. Have you checked the transmission fluid recently? How many miles on this Lexus?

This is happening to my car as well but my transmission fluid was changed so I ruled the tranny out.. I am how ever thinking that my alarm is triggering the battery and that is why its acting the way it is. So I am trying to find out how to disable the car alarm to see if that helps .. ????
