Sounds like it might not be getting enough fuel and is bucking. Have you changed out your fuel filter any time in the last year.. or two/three? It could also be the pressure regulator on the fuel rail. Do you work on your festiva / have any friends that are mechanically inclined? Have any test equipment to check the fuel pressure?
