Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It seems my car does not have enough power. While going uphill it become all the more worse,I press the pedal all the way but it does not move beyond 40mph.When I start after stopping or apply brake,it gives a jerk. The transition is not smooth. The rpm indicator does not move beyond 2500rpm at any time.I tried BG44K but of no use.I bought it recently so I dont know the history. Can anybody help me please.I will really appreciate any help.
Thanks

Could be a variety of things: clogged catalytic convertor, torque convertor, or head gaskets, engine sensors, etc. You will need to have this checked out by a mechanic.
