It is in the center of the vehicle kinda on the drivers side. If your looking from under the hood on drivers side there is a white clip on the firewall that holds 4 lines and it about a foot or so down coming out of the firewall. The heater hose may be in the way so push it down a little and you will see a white stub sticking out half an inch. If your looking from the bottom of the vehicle it is in the center of the vehicle on drivers side above the transmission. The heater hose might be in the way just pull down on it. It is very hard to find! Stick a straw in it and watch out you will get wet!

I have a 2003 montero xls, the drain is located directly behind the left (drivers side) head beneath the the two lines connected to the metal lines on the fire wall. I used a long zip tie to unclog it. You can only fit one hand in the area, so be patient. Also do not attempt while the engine is hot, you will get burned (speaking from experience) I also left the zip tie in the drain so next time it clogs it will hopefully be easier to clear.
