The +/set switch on cruise control has to be pressed several times to get it to work. the - decell switch doesnt work at all. 2006 Marquis with 60,000 mi.

could the apeed control switches be dirty? is it possible to clean them ?

I had a similar problem with my 93. I think there are some contacts and brushes that could be cleaned, but I think the steering wheel has to be removed. Not sure, I'd have to look at the manual. I never was able to fix the 93, but I didn't pullthe wheel.
