Are you talking about the belt tentioner pulley? I need a little more info to point you in the right direction. Does the rattle noise go away after the vehicle is warmed up? Does the Tribute use only one serpentine belt or does it use two belts? Are there a lot of cracks on the side that is groved? Does the rattle noise go away if you start it with the A/C off? Is the tentioner making a twitching motion up and down at an idle? Does it get worse when the A/C compressor turns on?

All good questions needed to help. The tensioner has no grooves, the serpentine belt wrapped on it's flat side on it.
